This cake was an all-day endeavor, which I made for my mother's 60th birthday party. She has a thing for stained glass, I have a thing for cake decorating, it worked out well.
It was very exciting to light this thing ablaze, and watch flame behind tinted sugar as the "glass" pieces slowly melted. And then it was even more exciting to see all of the melted and hardened sugar shapes in the light again. I'll do another post with some of the melted pieces - it was pretty awesome. The "glass" is sugar, corn syrup, cream of tartar, and food coloring. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
